下堡村是姑田镇的行政村。古时姑田设有碉堡，按地势分为上、中、下三堡，此村地势较低，故称下堡。村内的自然村有石厚、松溪、邓屋、坎兜、万堂、藻洋、周屋和新庄等。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年以前，此地是姑田区下辖的下堡乡；1950年改为姑田区所属的下堡村。公社时期，1958年成为姑田公社的下堡大队，1984年起定名为姑田镇下堡村委会。[1]

民俗[edit]

姑田大龙是本镇的国家级非遗项目。据维基百科，这一习俗始于明朝万历年间，发源于本村的邓屋。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名本村为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
