中堡村是姑田镇的行政村，镇政府驻地即在本村。古时此地有碉堡，村落居于上、中、下三堡的中间，故名中堡。村内包括西洋、民主、永丰、前进、建新、岭兜、义联与上洋等自然村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代，这里以方位称“东乡”。1934年起设为姑田区的中堡乡，建国初期又归姑田区管辖，成为中堡村。公社时期的1958年改为中堡大队，1984年起定为姑田镇中堡村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

本村于2021年8月入选「连城县第十四届（2018-2020年度）县级文明村镇（社区）」。2021年11月，福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。2022年10月，福建省农业农村厅将本村认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。2025年6月，以紫灵芝为主导产业，获「连城县2025年县级“一村一品”专业村」认定。[1]
