上堡村是姑田镇的行政村。姑田一带旧时有上、中、下三堡之称，此村居于上方，因而得名上堡。本村下辖七个自然村，即溪边、董扶洋、上陈、牛栏桥、元甲、丰头与上东洋；美玉堂连史纸作坊旧址位于丰头自然村内。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1929年至1937年间，此地为上堡乡苏维埃政权所在。1940年，牛栏桥一带即上堡，另设有上堡保。新中国成立后，本村于1950年归属姑田区；公社化后的1958年成为姑田公社的上堡大队，1984年起定名姑田镇上堡村委会。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

美玉堂连史纸作坊旧址在丰头自然村，为清代建筑，建造于清康熙年间。作坊借助当地的水力，山坡上设纸寮，水边建水碓寮；旧址由制料坯炊的房屋、碓寮房与纸寮房等组成。[1]

荣誉[edit]

本村于2020年12月列入「龙岩市第一批中级版绿盈乡村」。2021年8月，获评「连城县第十四届（2018-2020年度）县级文明村镇（社区）」。省爱卫办于2021年11月授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。同年12月，本村被确定为「福建省第二批高级版绿盈乡村（乡镇）」，并获「2021年度福建省森林村庄」命名。2023年6月，本村以连史纸为主导产业，取得「连城县2023年县级“一村一品”专业村」的认定。2026年1月，被确定为「福建省2026年度乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
