历史沿革[edit]
早先姚姓在此聚居，此处地势平坦，故称姚坪。[1]
1993年自文川乡析出，属莲峰镇，下辖五个自然村。2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名本村为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2021年8月，本村入选连城县第十四届县级文明村镇（社区）。2021年10月与2022年10月，本村两次入选淘宝村名单。[1]
