南街社区是莲峰镇下辖的社区，位于县府以南，属镇中心区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

地名取自所在的方位。南宋绍兴建县时，此处属城里，划为擢桂坊，历来称南门。1949年初设有小南街与庙前街的街委会，1967年两条街合并为南街，1984年恢复乡镇建制后设南街居委会。[1]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名本社区为「2021年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
