民主村是武平县民主乡的行政村，位于乡政府所在地，属乡中心区。村域北面与岭下村毗邻，西接高书村，南至高横村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地旧称溪头圩，民国时期称和平乡，原归中山（武所）管辖。解放后分出另立公社，取名民主，村名与乡名由此相同。[1]

2020年12月，村子入选2020年福建省森林村庄名单。2021年1月，村子获评龙岩市2020年度「平安村居（社区）」；2023年12月，村子进入龙岩市2023年度乡村振兴示范名单；2024年1月，村子获评龙岩市2023年度「平安村居（社区）」；2024年2月，村子列为第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇的创建村。[1]

经济[edit]

村中主要产业有烤烟、仙草、竹业、花卉、养羊和养鱼。2012年，村民人均收入6200元。[1]
