村域海拔740米，辖山阳坑、梅子坑两个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年后此地先属大禾区、后属武北区，公社时期为大禾公社的山头大队，1984年起改设山头村委会。[1]

文化[edit]

2024年1月和2023年1月，山头村先后被命名为2023年度和2022年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」。[1]
