湘湖村是武平县湘店镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的最西端，与长汀县红山乡、濯田镇以及本县桃溪镇相接。[1]

村委驻地所在的自然村叫湘湖，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

土地革命时期，这里建立过红色政权，设有湘湖苏区，并设湘湖乡苏维埃政府。[1]

1950年称湘湖村。1958年10月转为大队建制，1984年起称村委会，此后隶属湘店乡，名称一直沿用。[1]

人口民族[edit]

全村下辖8个自然村，设18个村民小组。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年6月，湘湖村列入福建省「第四批省级传统村落」名单；2023年12月，湘湖村被命名为「2023年度福建省森林村庄」；2024年11月，湘湖村被认定为「2024年度福建省一村一品专业村」，主产羊肚菌。[1]
