万营村位于中赤镇南部，下辖10个自然村，村内以种植业和养殖业为主。[1]

村里以仙草为「一村一品」的主导产业，毛竹等林业收入则是村里的主要来源。[1]

村内设10个村民小组，有党员81人，耕地989亩，人均约0.57亩。这些数字博雅地名网未注统计年份。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地在民国时期为中赤乡洽背保。1958年村庄改归中赤乡，人民公社时期成为中赤公社的万营大队。1960年曾经划入下坝公社，次年回到中赤公社。1984年，中赤乡万营村委会成立，此名延续至今。[1]
