解放前此处统称「芹菜阳」。解放后与「黄礤」合并为一个大队，各取两地一字，定名芹礤。[1][2]
1984年成立村民委员会。[1]

该村先后获命名为龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」，年度为2022和2023年。[1]
