村落地形弯曲如钩，村名由此而来。[1]

村内有15个村民小组，288户1375人。[2][3]

土地面积22000亩，其中林业用地19500亩，森林覆盖率在88.6%以上。耕地1200亩。[2][3]

林地中毛竹林3000亩，另有省级生态公益林2500亩。[2]
