南坊村位于东留镇最北端，北面与江西省会昌县洞头乡相邻，是大明河的发源地之一。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名由南洞、李坊两个自然村各取一字组成：「南」取自南洞，「坊」取自李坊。[1]

1958年人民公社化时，两个自然村合并为南坊大队，此后沿用，属东留镇。[1]

其中南洞自然村是福建省确定的革命基点村。[1]

文化[edit]

2023年1月，南坊村被命名为「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」；2024年1月，又被命名为「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]
