新福村位于东留镇北部，由曾屋、郭屋、背坊三个自然村组成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历与境内高斜山有关：山上相传有一座天子墓，村名由此取为「新福」，寓意新的有福之地。[1]

此村原属另一大队，1962年分出后定名新福大队，1984年起称新福村委会，隶属东留镇。[1]

文化[edit]

2024年1月，新福村被命名为「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」；2023年1月，又被命名为「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]
