大明村是东留镇政府驻地，位于武平县与江西省交界一带，历来是本地的集镇，也是农副产品的集散地。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历：解放前这一带分为大山、明治两个保，解放后两保合并，各取一字，定名大明。[1]

大明大队组建于1958年，到1984年才改称大明村委会，地名一直沿用至今。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年2月，大明村列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。2022年10月，大明村经省农业农村厅认定，列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。2024年1月，大明村同时获得「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」与「2023年福建省卫生村」两项称号。[1]
