东留镇位于武平县西北部，属福建省龙岩市，处在武夷山脉的最南端，是武平县下辖的乡镇级行政单位。[3][4]全镇面积约315平方千米（2018年数据），2014年3月由东留乡撤乡设镇，2019年10月起辖18个行政村。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

镇名的来历，据博雅地名网所载：旧时闽西、粤东与赣南之间商路相通，粤赣商人入闽，行至和顺乡（今东留）时天已黑，须留宿一夜才能继续赶路，由此称作东留。东留原名河坑洞。[2]

在宋代，此地为和顺乡。明正德十年（1515年）时，这里划为邱留东里的一部分；民国初年设东留区，1940年改为东留乡。[2]

1984年10月，东留公社撤销，改设东留乡；2014年3月，东留乡撤销，设立东留镇。[2]

地理环境[edit]

镇域北面接永平镇，东面是万安镇，南面连中山镇，西侧与江西的会昌县、寻乌县交界。古武高速武平段穿过镇境，距武平县城约18公里。[2]

镇内有东留溪、黄坊溪、桂坑溪和龙溪溪四条河流。境内山林广布，南坊省级森林公园内有枫香林和天然青钩栲林等生态景观。[2]

经济[edit]

东留以花果种植为主，芙蓉李与富贵籽是两大特色产业，博雅地名网称当地有「花果之乡」「中国富贵籽之乡」「山林之乡」等称号。[2]

经农业农村部审定，东留镇于2019年9月列入「第九批全国一村一品示范村镇」，所依托的产品是芙蓉李。2023年8月公布的首批名单中，东留镇凭借芙蓉李入选「首批国家农业产业强镇」。[1]

文化[edit]

2014年9月，东留镇获环境保护部认定为「2012年—2013年度国家级生态乡镇」。2021年2月，东留镇列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。2023年1月，东留镇被确定为「2022年度龙岩市平安乡镇（街道）」。东留镇于2024年1月获得「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」称号；同年6月，又入选「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡镇」名单。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

东留水库是武平县规模最大的发电水库，水域达186万平方米，总库容2380万立方米，属于中山河国家湿地公园「两河三库」的一部分。水库工程1998年1月开工，2000年10月蓄水启用，2002年11月完成竣工验收。[6]

位于大阳村的大阳桥是县级文物保护单位，为二墩三孔石砌风雨桥，上覆木构廊屋。清康熙三十年（1691年），武举李应才、李绅主持重修此桥；咸丰五年（1855年）又一次重造。昔日廊屋中开有店铺，桥墟因此兴起，至今仍保留阴历二、七赶墟的习俗。[5]
