东岗村位于武平县城厢镇，属镇乡结合区，村名由本村两个最大的自然村各取一字而成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国初年此地属城区，后设东岗保，先后隶属万东乡与城厢镇。1952年析出另设东岗乡；1958年撤区并乡时归万安乡，公社化时设东岗大队，之后先后隶属城郊、城关公社。1972年复设东岗大队，1983年改属城厢公社。[1]

1984年改设东岗村委会，隶属城厢镇，村名延续至今。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办授予东岗村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。2024年1月，本村列入2023年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」名单。2026年1月，本村入选「福建省2026年度乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
