长居村位于武平县城厢镇，村名的来历与明代徐、谢两姓迁居此处有关。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明代，徐姓与谢姓一同迁到此处。两姓见这里是山中的小平原、土壤肥沃，足以长期居住，村因此称长居，也含两姓和睦共处之意。[1]

民国时期此地称长黄保，归中山乡管辖。1958年公社化时，设长居大队，归城关公社管辖。1984年改设村委会，归城厢乡管辖，村名延续至今。[1]

2021年1月，本村列入2020年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」名单。[1]
