香樟社区位于武平县城厢镇，社区内种有大量香樟树，社区因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

2018年，因地产开发后居民大量迁入，为便于管理，新设香樟社区，属城厢镇管理。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名香樟社区为「2021年福建省卫生社区」。2022年10月，香樟社区被命名为「2022年全国示范性老年友好型社区」。2024年12月，社区上榜「2024年福建省儿童友好社区」名单。[1]
