历史沿革[edit]
地名来历有两说：一说村内的小澜河有大小鱼潭等险滩，水势汹涌，但与大河、大海的巨浪相比仍只是小波澜，故称“小澜”；另一说早先有兰姓人家居此，称“兰溪”，“兰”“澜”同音，后又称“澜溪”，再改为“小澜”。[1][2]
1929年12月5日，村中发生“小澜暴动”，是武平北部的一次农民武装暴动。村里的党组织建于1929年，至2006年改设村党总支部。[1][2]
民国后期，村内划分为河南、河北、河东、河西四个保，隶小澜乡。公社化后组建小澜大队，归桃溪公社；1984年起改为小澜村委会，属桃溪镇。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村子位于武平北部，海拔约265米，全村面积27.28平方千米。村域分为上河西、下河西、河北、陈屋、富塘里五个片区。从桃溪到河口的公路穿过本村，是武北对外的主要通道。[1][2]
