湘溪村位于桃溪镇北部，离镇中心约5公里，全村只有一个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

地名来历：村庄原名“湘坑坝”，村中一条小溪贯穿全村，遂改名“湘溪”。[1]

1989年，由原属的村委会分出，另设湘溪村委会。2007年，村委会由新屋下迁至祠堂下。地名沿用至今。[1]
