互助村位于武平县中堡镇西北部，离中堡集镇约7.5公里，村子西北一带纳入了梁野山保护区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村后山岭形如「王」字，原称王子崠。战乱年代，约1360口人辗转翻山涉水来到此地立村，取名互助，寓意互敬互爱。[3]

民国时设王子保，隶上中乡；建国初与罗助、梧地、王子崠合成互助村；1952年罗助、梧地各自设乡，王子崠称互助乡，同属上中区；1958年以后隶林坊公社，1965年改归中堡公社；1984年设互助村委会，属中堡镇。[2]

2021年1月，互助村获授予2020年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」称号；2021年11月，福建省爱卫办授予其「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2022年8月，龙岩市农业农村局认定其为龙岩市2022年市级「一村一品」专业村（象洞鸡）；2023年2月，本村入选「福建省第三批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1]
