处明村位于十方镇西南端，距集镇约6公里，村中林地较多。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载的传说，此地早年称朱蓝乡，元代聂姓迁入后朱、蓝二姓渐渐绝迹。明代有一位名叫叶向高的士人途经此地，得到村中聂姓人家的救助，后来考中，村名遂改为处明。[1]

民国时期此地称处明保。1952年改设处明乡；1958年划为处明大队；1984年村民委员会设立，隶属十方镇。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年12月，处明村被命名为「2021年度福建省森林村庄」。2024年1月和2021年1月，处明村分别入选2023年度与2020年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」名单。[1]
