十方村位于十方镇政府所在地，是集市所在的村，地处205国道与309省道的交汇处。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，此村得名与交通有关：1933年修通了县城至上杭、通往广东蕉岭的公路后，此地成为武平的交通枢纽，商人陆续在此开设店铺。[1]

南宋时此地建有西湖寺，村名最初与寺有关，周围原多荒岗墓地。1941年辟为圩场，此后发展成为武平东南部规模最大的圩场。[2]

保甲时期此地为西湖保，新中国成立初称西湖村。1952年大山里、葛藤坪划入，归十方区管辖；1956年改属黎畲乡；1958年组建十方大队；1961年黎仚析出；1984年村委会成立，隶属十方镇。[2]

文化[edit]

十方村于2021年11月获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2021年2月，十方村入选「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。2024年1月，十方村被命名为2023年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」。[1]
