伏虎村位于岩前镇上坊片，东接上墩村，西接洋坑村，北接三河村，南接双坊村，国道205线穿村而过。[1]

地名由来[edit]

传说古时村中常有老虎伤害人畜。后来一位姓叶的浙江人来此为村人治病，颇有成效，又将老虎赶走，此后再无虎患。村人为纪念他，建庵庙一座，取名伏虎寺，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国年间，这里划为鸳虎、万钟两保；建国初期分成鸳虎、万田两村。1952年析出两个小村，另立伏虎乡。人民公社化后组建伏虎大队，1984年设伏虎村委会，隶属岩前镇。[1]

自然环境与经济[edit]

村境属中、矮丘陵，山地海拔约320米。村内建有村级市场，设有墟天日。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，被认定为「龙岩市第一批中级版绿盈乡村」；同月，入选「2019年度福建省一村一品示范村」名单（水稻）。[1]

2021年10月，被龙岩市农业农村局认定为「龙岩市2021年市级一村一品专业村」（水稻）；2021年11月，被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

2023年12月，入选「龙岩市2023年度乡村振兴示范村镇」名单；2024年1月，被命名为「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」；2024年2月，被确定为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」创建对象。[1]
