将军村位于岩前镇政府以南，是武平县南端的边远村落，东面与象洞乡接壤，西邻广东省蕉岭县。[1]

村内森林资源丰富，2020年2月列入福建省第三批省级传统村落名单。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村名出自一则传说，内容涉及一个作恶的和尚和皇帝的一句评语，村地由此得名「将军地」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期此地属岩前镇将军保，建国初归岩前区，称将军村。1952年设立将军乡，后组建将军大队。1984年设立将军村委会，隶属岩前镇。[1]

解放战争时期，这里是中共的游击活动地带；建国后被划为革命基点村。[1]

自然环境[edit]

村境距国道205线约10公里，属亚热带海洋性季风气候，山林面积广，村内有毛竹林。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年4月，获评「2020年度福建省乡村振兴实绩突出村」；2021年12月，被命名为「2021年度福建省森林村庄」。[1]

2021年10月，被龙岩市农业农村局认定为「龙岩市2021年市级一村一品专业村」（食用菌）；2021年11月，被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

2023年1月，被命名为「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」；2024年1月，被命名为「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]
