城南社区是武平县平川街道下辖的社区，位于县城南边，由原城南村改设，省道306线经过社区境内。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

社区因位于武平县城南面而得名。[1]

清代这里分属兴龙坊、元登坊，民国时期归元兴保。建国初，它与南门城内合属兴魁里，归附城镇管辖。1958年成立城南大队；1962年，南门城内析出，另设兴南大队；1983年改称城南村，隶属平川镇。[3]

2018年，城南村改为城南社区居民委员会，隶属平川街道。[3]
