树人村位于官庄畲族乡东部，在汀江东岸，东面与新民村相邻，属乡中心区。[1]
地名由来[edit]
元末此地有一株朴树，因此称朴树下。民国时期人口增多、聚居集中，取“十年树木，百年树人”的寓意，改称树人。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代属平安里。第二次国内革命时期，本村建立苏维埃政权，获编为第十区模范乡。[2] 公社化后的1958年，村子成为官庄公社树人大队。[2] 1984年改设官庄乡的树人村民委员会，1988年改为畲族乡体制下的树人村民委员会。[2]
1929年，红四军的前委扩大会议选在本村鹧鸪塘举行。[3]
地理环境[edit]
山体面积19800余亩，耕地2245亩，全村总土地27736亩。[1] 村中有跃进水库，四面环山；仙人岩是一处天然景观。[1]
人口民族[edit]
全村839户3788人，畲族人口占99%。博雅地名网称本村是龙岩市最大的少数民族聚居村。[1]
文化[edit]
2017年3月，本村被国家民委命名为「第二批中国少数民族特色村寨」。[1][4]
福建省爱卫办于2021年11月，授予本村「2021年福建省卫生村」的称号。[1]
