红石村处在回龙大桥东侧，村里有5个村民小组，党员42人。[1]

地名由来[edit]

此地原名白石角，街尾有一棵大樟树，树根旁有一块大白石。土地革命时期改称红石，沿用至今。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1930年，红军在本村一带与国民党军交战，歼灭敌军300余人。[2] 本地清代属平安里，民国时设红石保。[2] 1984年改为官庄乡的红石村民委员会，1988年起称官庄畲族乡红石村民委员会。[2]

人口民族[edit]

村民有1千多人口，村内设5个村民小组。[1]

文化[edit]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月，授予本村「2021年福建省卫生村」的称号。[1]
