下濯村在官庄畲族乡的北部，地处山地，北面连着长汀县，东面挨着通贤乡，濯坑溪从北向西穿过村子。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的由来：濯坑被分成上下两段，这一段在下，就叫下濯。[1] 此地明初便有人开基，清代归平安里，民国期间称濯坑保。[3] 1979年，本村自濯坑大队中独立出来，成为一个单设的革领组。[3] 1984年起由官庄乡管辖，设下濯村民委员会；1988年以后归官庄畲族乡。[3]

据博雅地名网，全村常住人口为223户905人，百度百科也载人口905人，二者均未注明年份。[1][2] 耕地为330亩，林木覆盖的山地达6275亩，内有毛竹林一千多亩。[1][2]
