地名由来[edit]
村庄分为上、中、下三个村，此村居中，故称中坊。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代属胜运里，民国时设中坊保，1949年归东一区庐丰区。1956年组建中坊农业高级社，1958年转入红旗公社设中坊大队，1965年改由庐丰公社统辖，仍为大队。1984年改为庐丰乡中坊村民委员会，1988年改为畲族乡中坊村民委员会。[3]
村中自然村有渡上、营里、营尾等。[3]
2021年11月，中坊村获福建省爱卫办认定，列为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1] 2024年1月，中坊村获得2023年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」称号。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村落约有8平方公里，山林达11800多亩，耕地则为2300多亩。村境内有老虎岽、玉笏峰、金钟山等山岭，濒临汀江河。[2]
村地属棉花滩库区的淹没区。[2]
人口民族[edit]
全村533户，人口2300多人（博雅地名网，年份未注）。[2]
经济[edit]
农业以烤烟、蔬菜为主，兼营畜牧，村中有机砖厂一家。[2]
文化[edit]
农历四月十二日为找菩萨的传统节日，寄寓国泰民安、风调雨顺的心愿。[2]
著名人物[edit]
清乾隆十八年，村中有李梦登中进士，后任浙江孝丰县知县。李启才二十岁时考入黄埔军校第五期，毕业后参加北伐，八年抗战期间又先后参加淞沪、武汉、昆仑关等战役。[2]
