翁基村位于茶地镇东北部，与溪口、白砂两镇相邻。村中有一条溪流穿过，防汛预案称之为调和溪，博雅地名网则称麒麟溪，溪东、溪西分为两片。[1][3]

得名[edit]

开基者姓翁，起初叫翁家坡。据博雅地名网，乾隆二十二年，进士李梦登把地名改作翁家基，后来省称翁基。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时属茶境乡。解放初村属茶境区樟树乡；1953年改归东一区樟树乡管辖。1956年组建翁基高级社，1958年公社化后称红旗公社翁基大队，1961年改隶庐丰工委茶地公社，1984年成立翁基村民委员会，2015年起隶茶地镇。[2]

村辖翁基1个自然村、8个村民小组。[2]

龙岩市于2023年12月公布的乡村振兴示范村镇名单中有本村；2024年2月，本村又被确定为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」的创建对象。[1]
