下都镇是福建省龙岩市上杭县下辖的镇，位于县境西南部，距县城约40公里，地处闽粤两省交界一带。[1][2] 镇辖11个行政村。[2][6] 1986年7月从中都分出设乡，2015年改乡为镇；以沙田柚为主要水果，黄笋干为另一项特产。[1][2][4]

历史沿革[edit]

下都之名由旧时的中都分出。据上杭县人民政府网，中都一带按地势和水流方向被划为上都、中都、下都三部分。[1] 宋元时此地隶属来苏团，明清改属来苏里。民国年间这一带划为南三区，其下分置了砂埔、吉龙、东兴、黄鼎、黄坑、河坑六个保。[4]

1936年成立龙文联保处，1944年为龙文乡。解放初与中都合并为来苏区，1956年设下都乡。1958年撤区并乡后，当年秋天又与中都合并为东风公社；1961年分出，设下都公社；1965年再归中都公社，1984年隶属中都乡。[4]

1986年7月，下都自中都析出，成为独立的乡；2015年5月11日，福建省政府批准撤乡设镇。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

镇域位于汀江中游，处在棉花滩水库的中下游库区。土地总面积98.8平方千米，海拔约195米，年均气温19℃，雨量年均1410毫米。[1][3] 百度百科所载的面积为103.05平方千米（2018年），与政府网数字不同，本条以政府网为准。[5]

两条主要公路为稔礤线和丰棉线：稔礤线由稔田通往广东南礤，丰棉线从县城出发，途经中都、下都，直达永定洪山乡。镇境距永杭高速庐丰出口17公里，距稔田出口24公里。[1] 2002年建成的南蛇渡大桥连接璜溪、豪康、三益三村与下都集镇。[1]

人口民族[edit]

上杭县人民政府网所载，全镇共3043户，人口11502人。[1] 博雅地名网镇页的信息栏则载为约6011人，与政府网不同，本条以政府网为准。[2]

经济[edit]

沙田柚1986年自广西引入，至今已成为全镇主要水果，柚果种植面积近万亩。[1] 1999年11月，下都沙田柚于全国第六届柚类科研与生产协作会议获「优质柚类」称号；2010年3月，「下都」品牌商标注册；2015年，下都沙田柚获农业农村部认证为绿色标志。[1]

黄笋干的原料是汀江中游南蛇渡河段一带生长的竹子，属下都的特产。[1] 棉花滩水库蓄水发电后，库区群众大规模种植黄笋竹和绿麻竹，全镇食用笋竹种植约7000多亩。[1]

文化[edit]

下都是红色老区。革命战争年代，当地群众踊跃参军入伍，支援革命；刘永生将军曾带领闽粤赣边纵队在境内活动。[1] 全镇有三益、坳下、蛇形寨背、豪康、璜溪五个革命基点村（自然村）。[1]

荣誉方面，2016年，下都被评为「第六批全国一村一品沙田柚示范村镇」；福建省爱卫办于2020年12月作出命名，下都镇获「福建省卫生乡镇」称号；2021年1月，下都镇上榜2020年度龙岩市「平安乡镇（街道）」名单。[1][2] 2005年以来，下都镇一直被上杭县评为「信用乡（镇）」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

镇内的文物古迹以县级文物保护单位为主。豪康村的豪坑述德堂为清代古建筑，新寨村的百岁牌坊为清光绪年间诰制，各见所在村条目。[1][7] 砂睦村的渊泉居是镇内两处客家古民居之一，另一处为述德堂。[1]
