历史沿革[edit]
清代此地属平安里上太平图，民国时设周源保。解放初设村农会分会，隶属才溪区通贤乡。[2]
1984年起称通贤乡周源村民委员会，2014年改为通贤镇周源村民委员会。[2]
地理环境[edit]
村内有七个自然村，分别是周坑口、坑尾、田心村、厅二、厅一、圩下与新兴，村委会驻周坑口。[2]
经济[edit]
村内耕地约554亩，林地约960亩，折算到人头上，耕地不足半亩，林地约0.83亩，自然资源较少。约650名劳动力里有505人外出打工，占77.7%，多数人在广东珠三角一带搞建筑及市政工程分包。[3]
村内无工矿业，村财收入主要来自山林租金和出租的店面。[3]
