大连村位于双髻山脚下，辖大岭下、连塘里、建竹甲、阳头四个自然村。村名由早先人口较多的两个自然村各取一字而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

历史上，大岭下与莲塘里两处人口较多，各取一字，称为大莲村，后改称大连村。[1]

此地清代隶属胜运里，土地革命时期设大连乡苏维埃，民国时称大莲保，归第二区。1949年后设农会分会，归第五区大厚乡；1953年划为星太区。1958年随公社化称爱国公社大连大队，1961年改属太拔工委溪口公社。1984年改为溪口乡大连村民委员会，2013年改为镇属村委会。[2]

辖内四个自然村都是革命基点村。解放后，本村被评为一类型革命基点村，其中连塘里还获得「钢铁村庄」称号。[1]

地理环境[edit]

全村181户、715人（博雅地名网，年份未注）。山林约23000亩，其中毛竹林2500亩，耕地565亩。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，大连村经福建省爱卫办评定，获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。2021年1月，村庄被命名为「2020年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]

博雅地名网载，本村出了抗日名将廖海涛，他曾任旅政委；政府网站也将廖海涛列为溪口的革命前辈。[1][3]
