石铭村在溪口镇东北角，与新罗区大池镇接壤，离镇政府约7千米，大中线公路从村中穿过。村名来自一块水中的天然石头。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
相传明代，黄坑口的水中有一块天然石头，石上留有一孔，随水势涨落而变化，形状像房门，故称石门。石门与石铭谐音，此村遂改名石铭。[1]
清代此地隶属胜运里，土地革命时期设有石铭乡苏维埃，民国时称石铭保，归第三区。1950年设石铭乡，此后经历民生农业高级社（1956年）与爱国公社（1958年）等阶段。1971年起归溪口公社革委会的革领组管辖，1980年改设管委会石铭大队。[2]
2014年，此地改称溪口镇石铭村民委员会，村委驻地在杨屋村。[2]
全村有5个革命基点村（博雅地名网）。[3]
人口民族[edit]
村中有农户365户，16个村民小组，共1436人，年份未注（博雅地名网）。村中姓氏有杨、张、罗、官、刘、温、龚等七姓。[3]
经济[edit]
村民以种植水稻、烤烟为主，也有外出打工，或在本地竹业厂、纸厂就业的。村内有永丰、石铭、临江亭三座电站，另有若干工厂与养殖场。[3]
文化[edit]
2022年12月，本村由福建省爱国卫生运动委员会评定为「2022年福建省卫生村」。2026年1月，石铭村被确定为「福建省2026年度乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
2024年11月，石铭村被认定为「2024年度福建省“一村一品”专业村」（早蜜桔），同年6月还被认定为「上杭县2024年县级“一村一品”专业村」（早蜜桔）。[1]
