通桥村位于湖洋镇西部，紧邻205国道，西与武平县相邻，是上杭西部的边界村。村名来自国道经过后修建的一座通车桥梁。此地原属武平县，后划归上杭县。[1][4]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时此地为砚田保。解放初设农会分会，归信和区通桥乡管辖；1956年组建通桥高级社，1958年改为湖洋公社通桥大队。[2][5]

1961年划入寨背公社，1965年回到湖洋公社，1968年成立革领组，1980年设管委会大队。1984年改为湖洋乡通桥村民委员会，2013年改属湖洋镇。[2][5]

村内人口1700多人，党员65名，村两委干部5名。耕地1200亩，其中约320多亩用于种烟；山林6900亩，森林覆盖率为73%（统计年份未注明）。[3]

村卫生所达到国家甲级卫生所标准，所长曾获全国优秀乡村医生称号。[3]

荣誉[edit]

通桥村在2021年11月获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

2022年10月，省农业农村厅将通桥村认定为第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇。[1]
