涧头村位于湖洋镇西北部，地处紫金山下的汀江沿岸，东与碧田村相邻，西南与临城镇接壤，是两县三乡的交界之地。村前汀江上有一处险滩名为「剪刀铰」，「剪」与「涧」读音相近，村名由此而来。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时此地属碧田保。解放初成立涧头村农会分会，划入第十一区（信和区）的碧田乡。1956年组建团结高级社，当时隶属附城区的碧田乡。[2][4]

1958年10月，此处改为湖洋公社的涧头大队；1961年转入寨背公社，1965年又回到湖洋公社。1984年改为湖洋乡涧头村民委员会，2013年改属湖洋镇。[2][4]

对于辖区的写法，博雅地名网沿革页列为涧头坝、涧头渡、石下、潭溪岗、潭溪里、太坪六个自然村，共14个村民小组，村委驻地在涧头渡；其概况页则写为5个自然村。[2][1]

自然环境与经济[edit]

村中林地达12156亩，生态公益林占去7236亩；耕地为935亩（统计年份未注明）。汀江流经境内，水电资源丰富，建有装机1万千瓦的涧头电站，另有三座小型电站。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年1月，涧头村获「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」称号。[1]
