铁东村是旧县镇下辖的行政村，位于岩下大山脚下、旧县河左岸，距县城20公里，离旧县集镇5公里，与205国道仅隔一座桥。[1]

村子原称铁场，后与铁场分为两村，因在旧县河东岸而定名铁东。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

岩下山游击队在本地活动时，村民积极支持。土地革命时期村子属尧铁乡苏，民国时属三益乡的尧场保。[2]

1949年解放后归尧石乡，1953年改称旧县区铁东乡，1956年成为高级社的一个包产片。1958年公社化后编入尧铁营铁东连，1959年改为大队；1966年起归红岩公社，仍称铁东大队；1984年改为旧县乡铁东村民委员会。[2]

地理环境与经济[edit]

村子处在旧县河流域，河段上建有和坝电站与石圳电站两座梯级电站。[1]

村旁岩下山森林茂密，山中有穿山甲、各种鸟类，出产香菇、红菇、灵芝和药材，为村子带来一定经济收入。[1]

历史人文[edit]

村中的马坑凉亭记述了岩下山游击区的历史，村中一棵高30余米、身围约4米的古松也受到村民珍视。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 铁东村于2021年11月获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[3]
  • 铁东村于2022年10月被福建省农业农村厅认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[3]
  • 2024年1月，铁东村被命名为「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[3]
