扁山村是旧县镇下辖的行政村，位于镇境南部，距镇政府13公里，地处偏远。[1]

村名来自境内的一座高山，名叫扁山崠，海拔1280米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

土地革命时期村子属苏维埃政权下的扁山乡苏，民国时为乡下的扁山保，1953年设扁山乡。1956年并入白砂区设高级社。[2]

1958年公社化后改称扁山连，此后改为大队，1984年改为旧县乡扁山村民委员会，2012年改称旧县镇扁山村民委员会。[2]

地理环境与经济[edit]

村子处在高山脚下，空气清新，村中耕地510.6亩，林地1700多亩。村旁有面积几百亩的水库。[1]

村中出产红菇、香菇和灵芝，并有以土纸加工为业的传统，据博雅地名网所载，六成以上的农户经营纸厂。[1]
