秋竹村是上杭县蛟洋镇下辖的行政村，位于双髻山下，距308省道约5公里。村名来源：华氏先祖从华家迁来耕种、放牧，一年秋天见祠堂边一丛竹子开花，视为吉祥，遂取名秋竹坪，后简称秋竹[1]。
