矶头村是福建省龙岩市上杭县南阳镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域南端，离镇政府约15公里。[1][2]

村境内的旧县河是汀江的支流，也是上杭第二大河。辖鹿角滩、矶下、红新、荷树垅4个自然村。[2][3]

地理环境[edit]

村名由来：村中石山夹出一道狭长陡峭的峡谷，形似鸡笼；“鸡”与“矶”同音。此处又是旧时河运码头，故得名矶头。[1]

河上建有矶头水电站，形成库区。全村有林地约1.91万亩，耕地约149亩，大部分种植单季稻，数字为博雅地名网所载，未注明年份。[2]

人口民族[edit]

全村71户、306人，为博雅地名网所载，未注明年份。村中居民姓氏有丁、孔、黄、曹、张、阙六姓。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

土地革命时期村内曾设过红色政权。1949年解放初设农会小组。[3]

1956年设高级社。1958年1月划入上杭县，同年公社化，称南阳公社矶头大队。[3]

1984年后改为南阳乡的矶头村民委员会，1988年起改属南阳镇。村委会驻矶下自然村，辖4个自然村、5个村民小组。[3]

经济[edit]

2005年各村集体林权制度改革，矶头村明晰产权的林地约7400亩。村民一方面生产松脂，一方面有计划地采伐林木，松脂与林木是村民的主要收入。[2]
