历史沿革[edit]
村名由荣才坑与石槽里两个自然村各取首字而来。[1]
博雅地名网载，宋仁宗天圣五年（1027年），上杭县治曾迁至钟寮场，即今荣石村所在。清代属平安里，民国时属四坊保。[1]
解放初归第九区的才溪区，1951年归四坊乡；1956年成立高级社。1958年起公社化，称才溪公社荣石大队；1961年改属四坊公社荣石大队；1965年四坊并入才溪公社，仍叫荣石大队。[1]
文化[edit]
2022年12月，荣石村获福建省爱国卫生运动委员会命名为「2022年福建省卫生村」。2024年1月，被命名为「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1][2]
