陈坑村位于上杭县西北部，北与南阳镇接壤，西与通贤乡相接，村中有一条小溪穿流而过。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名由地势而来：此处地势低洼，如沉落在四周高山之中，原称沉坑，后以谐音改称陈坑。[1]

民国时此处属四坑保。解放初隶属才溪区，之后经互助组、初级社阶段，1956年成立陈坑高级社。1958年公社化后隶属才溪公社的一个大队，1961年体制划小，改隶四坊公社。1981年，陈坑从原大队管委会划出。[1]

文化[edit]

2022年12月，陈坑村获福建省爱国卫生运动委员会命名为「2022年福建省卫生村」。2021年1月，被命名为「2020年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」；2023年1月，被命名为「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]
