桂和村是福建省龙岩市上杭县古田镇下辖的村，处在国家级梅花山自然保护区的核心地段，海拔平均约1200米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历：桂竹与共和两个较大的自然村各取一字，合成村名桂和。[4]

1934年以前，此地税收补贴长汀，属“贴长”即步云的村落联络点之一；1934年收回上杭管辖，民国时隶属云田乡梨岭保。1949年解放初为桂和村，1953年划为第十三区步云乡，1956年组建高级农业社，1958年公社化后称古田公社桂和大队。1965年步云、福地两公社合并，称步云公社桂和大队；1984年改为步云乡桂和村民委员会。2021年，步云乡撤销并入古田镇，本村改称古田镇桂和村民委员会。[3]

村辖共和、桂竹两个自然村，共2个村民小组。[3]

博雅地名网所载本村荣誉有：2021年1月，被命名为「2020年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」；2024年1月，被命名为「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村中山峰狗子脑在博雅地名网中被称作闽西南最高峰，海拔1811米；附近另有望金山、油婆记等山峰。[1]

国家级生态公益林计17723亩，竹林9487亩，另有云雾茶园300亩；耕地1230亩。村中有两座水电站。[2]
