金屏村是福建省龙岩市上杭县古田镇下辖的村，地处闽西第二高峰黄莲盂山脚下，四面环山，原属步云乡。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历：原名检勾坪。三百多年前，一对夫妇在此拾栗子，认为此地宜居，便搭棚定居成村。因地形如狗背，称赤狗坪；远望村中灯火如一道金色屏障，遂改称金屏。[3]

1934年以前，此地税收补贴长汀，属“贴长”即步云的村落联络点之一；1934年收回上杭管辖。民国时隶属云田乡公所，称金屏保。1949年解放初称金屏村，1953年划为第十三区步云乡，1956年组建金屏农业高级社，1958年公社化后称古田公社金屏大队。1965年步云、福地两公社合并，称步云公社金屏大队；1984年改为步云乡金屏村民委员会；2021年，步云乡撤销并入古田镇，改称古田镇金屏村民委员会。[2]

村子共七个自然村，名称为大石背、上五公、寨里、大岭下、五公坑、屋坑与楼凤，合为4个村民小组。[2]

地理环境[edit]

村子东面与新罗区江山乡山头村相接，南面与新罗区小池镇交界，距原步云乡政府所在地约12公里。[1]
