模坑村是福建省龙岩市上杭县古田镇下辖的村，位于古田镇东南部，距镇政府及集贸市场约5公里，分上模坑、下模坑两个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子四面山高林密，原称巫坑。1984年以后，因生产和工作突出，改称模坑，取模范之村的意思。[4]

1929年此地属北四区，红四军入闽后建立苏维埃政权。抗日战争期间，傅柏翠曾在村中开设炼铁炉。1959年改称巫坑大队；1984年改设古田乡模坑村民委员会，1986年随镇名改为古田镇模坑村民委员会。[3]

村辖上模坑、下模坑两个自然村，共5个村民小组。[3]

博雅地名网所载本村荣誉有：2021年11月，被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子地处低纬度亚热带山区，海拔630米，四面青山环抱，地势呈蛋圆状。村子总面积6平方千米，耕地1021亩，山地1.2万亩。[2]
