嫩洋村是白砂镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域西部，与东塘、洋乾、军桥等村相邻。村名原称冷洋塘，1921年罗氏修族谱时改为嫩洋。全村辖8个自然村，村委会驻凹背。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村中田塅多为烂泥田，旧称冷洋塘。1921年，罗氏修族谱时为美化村名，改称嫩洋。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时为嫩洋保，解放初称嫩洋村，1951年设嫩洋乡，1956年组成高级社。1958年10月起属白砂公社官将管理区，设嫩洋大队。[2]

1961年划出，称官将公社嫩洋大队，1965年两公社合并后复称白砂公社嫩洋大队。1984年改为白砂乡嫩洋村民委员会，1993年改为白砂镇嫩洋村民委员会。辖8个自然村（含7个村民小组）。[2]
