历史沿革[edit]
民国时此地属大华保。1951年设乡，1954年并入田背乡。1956年组成大科高级社，属田背管理区。[2]
1958年10月起属白砂公社，设大科大队；1984年改为白砂乡大科村民委员会，1993年改为白砂镇大科村民委员会。下辖6个自然村，村委会驻石科里。[2]
地名由来与古迹[edit]
据博雅地名网，村中的大科老圩是镇内最早的圩场，「白砂」之名由此而来。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，大科村列入2021年福建省卫生村名单。[1]
