地名由来[edit]
村名原作娥蚣科，因名字不雅而改。据博雅地名网，民主人士袁竹秋（曾任上杭县副县长）提议，依山岗上的梧桐树改称梧岗。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国时设梧岗保，解放初仍称梧岗村。1951年与梧田村合并为梧田乡，1958年撤区并乡后并入塘丰一带的乡，1961年又分出，设白砂公社梧岗大队。[2]
1984年改为白砂乡梧岗村民委员会，1993年改为白砂镇梧岗村民委员会，辖科子里、橄榄桥两个自然村，村委会驻科子里。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
国家政治保卫局福建分局成立旧址在梧岗村，建于清代，原为民房，为单层砖木建筑。1931年12月，该分局在此设立，首任局长为郭滴人。旧址列为福建省第十一批省级文物保护单位。[3][4]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，梧岗村列入2021年福建省卫生村名单。[1]
