大燕村位于稔田镇西北片，地处边远山区，距集镇约8公里，全村有两个自然村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国时期，本地先后设燕南保与大燕保，隶属四美乡。1949年解放初设农会分会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村内山地海拔约420至860米，是全镇平均海拔最高的村，气候属亚热带。[1]
人口民族[edit]
村民以罗姓为主，并保有一项祭祖传统：每年到上杭县扶阳去拜祭远祖，称作“祭原始祖”。[3]
经济[edit]
村内以红肉蜜柚为主导产业，主要种植水稻与烤烟。2023年，本村通过县级“一村一品”专业村认证；村中有2008年成立的水利协会，另有2019年成立的股份经济合作社。[1][2]
大燕村于2021年11月获得「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2021年1月，村里被命名为「2020年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」，2024年1月又被命名为「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]
